NoThere is no doubt that, as a technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will represent a period of adaptation for several areas and will pose new challenges to professionals in multiple sectors. It’s easy to see discontent but, for the founder of Khan Academy (a non-profit organization in the field of education), AI represents some benefits in this area.

“I think we are on the cusp of using AI for what is probably the biggest positive transformation that education has ever seen. The way we’re going to do that is to give every student on the planet a personal tutor with AI, but incredible intelligence.”notes Sal Khan in a recent TED Talk.

The occasion served for Khan to present Khanmigo, a ‘chatbot’ developed by Khan Academy and which is based on the same technology used in ChatGPT that is capable of helping students in various disciplines, namely in computational science and mathematics

Khanmigo was launched in March and apparently, Khan Academy invited several educational institutions and professionals to try it out in order to get ‘feedback’. It is likely that if successful, Khanmigo will be released to the public.
