Aitor Ocio: Supplementation plays a fundamental role

Aitor Ocio (Vitoria, 1976) is a father, athlete and businessman. How does supplementation influence your workouts?

Supplementation is essential, but always accompanied by a good nutrition plan. This nutrition plan must be set based on our energy expenditure and our physical conditions. When do you include it in your life?

Already in my youth as a soccer player, it was common for doctors and physical trainers to recommend basic supplements such as vitamin C or magnesium. In my professional stage, these supplements were recommended to us in a very generic way. In recent years, based on the knowledge acquired, I have understood what this supplementation could give me and once my time as a professional footballer ended, I have continued with it, seeing that it is beneficial for my health and well-being.

What have you learned from supplementation over the years?

Not all brands are the same. Understand that Omega 3, collagen, magnesium or vitamin D are always the same. I was very wrong and I have been able to verify it because not all laboratories produce it in the same way, this means that your body does not assimilate it in the same way. My first contact with Longevitas as a consumer was years ago.
