A year ago the first season of the anime of My Dress Up Darling and quickly became one of the most popular of 2022, with a fame that reached the cosplay scene and turned Marin Kitagawa in a new icon. To date, very good cosplays inspired by My Dress-Up Darling are still coming out, like the one of Marin on the beach that she presented Akasukye this week.
Everything indicates that the second season of the My Dress-Up Darling anime will arrive sometime in the first half of 2023, but we do not yet have an exact date for its release. In the meantime, we present to you some of the best cosplays that have emerged in recent weeks, starting with Akasukye’s Marin Kitagawa.
Akasukye is a Polish cosplayer who has been active on social media for almost a year and in this time has transformed into half a dozen fictional characters, spanning video games, anime, and manga. The most recent cosplay that Akasukye published on her profile is that of Marin Kitagawa, as she transformed into the protagonist of My Dress-Up Darling and took some pictures in the sand.
We first saw Akasukye cosplaying Marin Kitagawa in her iconic black swimsuit with yellow flowers back in December of last year, when earlier that month she showed us what a live-action version of the lead would look like. My Dress Up Darling. Shortly after, Akasukye posted a second photo of her, but we had to wait until this year to see her again as this character.
After a short Christmas break featuring seasonal themed cosplays, today Akasukye showed us another shot of her Marin Kitagawa swimsuit cosplay, showing what the My Dress-Up Darling star would look like walking across the sand next to the beach. In her post, Akasukye says she loves the sessions on the beach, as she thinks they have a totally different vibe.
