At least four people were killed and 20 young people were injured by gunfire at a birthday party in the US state of Alabama. The shooting in a house in the center of the small town of Dadeville broke out on Sunday night (local time), as the local television station WRBL reported with reference to investigators. A teenager celebrated his 16th birthday there.

It was unclear whether the shooter was taken into custody. There was also no official information on the possible motive. According to broadcaster WRBL, investigators assume that a dispute led to the attack.
