President Alberto Fernández made official this Sunday the call for a political table of the Frente de Todos to set internal rules and electoral strategies for this year’s elections.
“I am confident that this area of debate will serve to open the call to the social, production and labor sectors that accompany our government coalition with whom we share the same country project,” said the president, through a thread he posted this morning on Twitter.
“Our governors and governors and our mayors and mayors -he added- must define the leadership nucleus that represents the territorial force of the Frente de Todos”.
He pointed out that this space is intended to establish the internal rules for the general elections.
“It is my intention that the referents that come together with different perspectives on Peronism, together with referents of the Renewal Front and other political forces that participate in space, establish the rules of competition that sustain the unity that leads us to victory,” he wrote. .
The president thus gave in to one of the main demands that his coalition partners have been raising for a long time.
The pressure has intensified in recent days, with statements and strong criticism from the sector that refers to Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, within the framework of an internship that escalated from the discomfort that she made known -in a off the record that he never denied – the Minister of the Interior Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedro, after not having been invited to a meeting with the President of Brazil, Lula da Silva, and human rights organizations.
“These challenges force us to work so that our Front is consolidated around a project for an inclusive country that is developed respecting federalism. A country that recovers courts that impart justice and do not submit to factual powers,” Fernández continued.
And he concluded with criticism of the opposition: “We do not want Argentina to return to a past of persecution of opponents, indebtedness, flight of their capital, falling wages and deindustrialization like the one we suffered during the Government of Together for the change”.
