President Alberto Fernández compared the results of his government administration with those obtained by the Cambiemos administration (2015-2019), affirmed that Argentina is now “much better” than when he arrived at the Casa Rosada and maintained that “the one who left people hungry is called (Mauricio) Macri”.

Fernández highlighted the advances in social, economic and institutional matters during his administration, such as the recovery of wages, the gradual decline in the inflation rate in recent months.

“I did not promise you the revolution of joy,” said the head of state and, referring to Macri, remarked that “the one who promised you the revolution of joy closed 23,000 SMEs” and what “Argentina did was deteriorate “.

When leading the act of delivery of 178 homes, within the framework of the Procrear II program, located in the neighborhoods of Nueva Pompeya and Parque Patricios in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Fernández contrasted the results of his management with the situation inherited from the administration by Mauricio Macri.

In this context, he stressed that in his government “we began to recover the salary that fell by more than 20 percent in the Macri government.”

“We are not all the same in politics, we do not all think the same. These houses have to be built by the banks, but we built them and we are proud of that,” he said, leading the delivery of houses, whose construction required an investment of National Government of 1,860 million pesos.

In a direct message to the opposition referent, President Alberto Fernández said that “Peronists know that better than saying is working,” adding that in his government “freedom is absolute.”

“For us, you are the only ones that concern us. I have the peace of mind that in my government we never use the Justice to persecute anyone,” he said, responding to recent statements by the former president.

“When I hear him say to Macri that my word is not worth it, it hurts” because “I complied,” he said and stated that “the one who left people hungry is called Macri.”

And to mark more differences with his predecessor, he maintained that he would never dare “to say that human rights are a gig in a country that has had 30,000 disappeared,” referring to a phrase by the founder of the PRO in that sense.

“One of the most pleasant moments that I have as President is the delivery of homes because it is a human right to have one’s own roof,” he said, adding: “When we hand over those keys, we know that we are guaranteeing a future.”

In this sense, he highlighted the creation of the Ministry of Housing and Habitat during his administration because “he wanted someone to think only about the right of the people, which is housing.”

Likewise, he maintained that this made it possible for “next week we are going to deliver the 80,000 house and by the end of March we will be delivering the 100,000 house” and recalled that the “150,000 houses that are being built throughout Argentina” will be financed “with the federal co-participation of the national State”.

He highlighted the creation of “more than 1.5 jobs” during his tenure and a drop in the inflation rate “to half of what Macri left it.”

Immediately afterwards, he remarked that today there are “21 provinces where unemployment is low” and that Argentina is “after China, the economy that grew the most in the world.”

“Do you know where unemployment does not go down? In the city of Buenos Aires. I’m not saying it, the statistics say it,” he completed.
