CDMX.- In his new song, “Inexperto en Olvidarte”, Alejandro Fernández deposits various symbolisms that touch him deeply and take him from hope and nostalgia to sadness and euphoria.

This is the first song from his next album, the first, too, for which he had no comments from his father, the late Vicente Fernández.

The piece, which speaks of forgiveness and acceptance of mistakes, marks his return to the vernacular genre that elevated him in his origins and with which he seeks to broaden his audience.

“My father’s departure was the most painful; not that I thank God, but he is no longer in the hospital suffering, because we all broke down when we saw him like this.

“(In 2022) it was the birth of (his granddaughter) Mía, the wedding of Alex (Fernández, his son), the launch of other collaborations, the new album. Normally it was routine to arrive at my father’s house to present it to him, to to listen to him, give me his advice”, lamented “El Potrillo”.

On December 12, the first death anniversary of “Chente” was celebrated, and the interpreter of “Me Hace Tanto Bien” accepted that his family suffered a lot from the loss, but they are all resigned to continue.

“That’s how it is, it’s like a bimbalet of emotions. Sometimes you’re up, but sometimes you get down and nostalgic. There comes a time when you only think about cool memories, advice.”

“Inexperto en Olvidarte”, which has just premiered on platforms and radio stations, means for Alejandro a way of admitting his feelings in a song and moving on.

In a fragment of the piece, composed by Amanda Coronel and Fernanda Díaz, he says: “…and I was always the bastard”, accepting that he made a mistake and asking his partner to forgive him.

“The song goes around, it recognizes that the guy is a bastard, it asks him for an opportunity to come back, crawling, arriving, that’s how it happens and it asks for an opportunity”.

Aged 51, father of five children and grandfather of two girls, the music star has already recorded eight new pieces in Barcelona for the album produced by Áureo Baqueiro, and in a few more weeks he will give voice to another five.

He explained that, instead of joining the trends of other genres that are dominated by today’s youth, he sought to reinvent himself in the style that is already his.

“Normally the people who hit and are successful are much younger, kids of 23, 24, 18, and what we try to do, now that my father is gone, is to try to win the niche that he left, with the love of the public, with the heart of my people”.

And either with “Inexperto en Olvidarte” or with the rest of the pieces that the album will contain, still without a name, “El Potrillo” expressed many of his feelings.

“In music you try to get those mixed feelings out. I take advantage of it a lot, when I go through difficult times, and everything comes out,” he said.

Alejandro has been a true music lady and has been known for romances, breakups and couples in the 30 years that he recently turned as a professional singer.

Many of his hits, classic bohemia and drunkenness, have to do with heartbreak, rudeness and sad situations, including “Like Who Loses a Star”, “What a Pity”, “Nube Viajera” and “No Sé Olvidar”.

“I say that (in a relationship) you can forget, I have done it. It depends on each person, on their personality. There are many people who are very spiteful.

“With the passage of time, life, maturity, there is nothing like knowing how to forgive. That poisons. Yes, you can overcome it. If you can overcome the loss of a person who died, of course you can (overcome) a person who is still alive “.
