Juarez City.- Given that so far in 2023 two people have been victims of robbery by alleged inspectors from the Clean Directorate, this branch of the Juárez municipal government urged citizens to report those who believe they are carrying out these illegal acts.
According to Gibrán Solís, director of Limpia of the General Directorate of Municipal Public Services of Juárez, in addition to these two cases that ended in the theft of the cars, there was a third that did not materialize, but in which a alleged act or “notice” for the alleged irregularity observed by the usurpers of functions.
The false officials go to places where there are supposedly abandoned cars, with accumulated garbage, flat tires or dismantled to take them away, so “if they are being visited, they have the right to contact the Clean Department or Public Security to validate the legitimacy of the performance,” said Solís.
Solís explained that the inspectors must wear a visible badge from the agency and present it to the citizen at the beginning of the inspection. With that it is possible to detect false inspectors.
Likewise, the record that they draw up must include the description of the Clean Department and the rationale for the Urban Cleaning and Regeneration Regulations of the Municipality of Juárez, and the tow truck that removes the vehicle must be duly identified with the logo of the municipal administration.
In addition, the fake inspectors show a printed photograph of the vehicle that will be recalled, but the official personnel do not.
To support the denunciation of the usurpers of functions, Solís specified that these false inspectors use a gray platform crane, and go to the “inspections” dressed in suits, in pairs.
He indicated that in the event of being visited by an inspector and having doubts about it, the citizen is free to contact the Directorate of Public Services, the Inspection Department at telephone (656) 793-7020 at extension 73085, to verify if It really is an operation of the unit, or report it to 911.
He added that “the alternative of relying on Public Security is to have this support on any day of the week.”
