A tragic accident shook Villa Gesell in the last few hours. This Saturday, during the Safari Arena event, one of the competing vehicles got lost and ran over two people, causing the death of a man and serious injuries to his partner.
As reported by the site 0223, the event occurred in the municipal circuit of the seaside resort, where the Summer Enduro is usually run, when one of the competitors lost control and hit a place where some spectators were.
The fatal victim was identified by the name of Hernán Díaz, 35 years old. While his partner suffered serious injuries and was transferred to the Oscar Alende regional hospital in Mar del Plata, where they are expected to undergo surgery.
After this tragic episode, according to information from the Télam agency, the organization of the event reported that “the activity that was going to take place on this Sunday was suspended”.
