Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is expected to make an official visit to Algeria very soon. This visit is scheduled to take place on January 22 and 23, 2023.

Indeed, the Italian site “Decode39” has revealed that Meloni will send a number of its government officials to Turkey, then to Tunisia and Libya, to speed up work on the immigrant dossier.

In addition, the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni chose to go personally to Algeria to discuss this same dossier. It seeks to conclude agreements with these countries in order to limit the arrival of immigrants.

It should be noted that Ambassador Abdelkarim Touahria was received in Rome by the Secretary General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ettore Sikoi, where the two parties discussed various bilateral cooperation issues, including the visit official as the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni in Algeria on January 22 and 23, 2023.
