A traffic accident occurred in the Bregenzerwald on Sunday.

On Sunday at around 10.50 a.m., a 26-year-old woman from Bregenzerwald drove a small truck on the L200, coming from Mellau in the direction of Au. She brought her child, who was around six months old, with her.

At the level of the Engebrücke in Schnepfau, the driver overtook a car driving in front of her, occupied by a driver and a passenger, and may have overlooked the oncoming vehicle at that time, which was being driven by a 49-year-old man, also from the Bregenzerwald. There was a head-on collision in which all vehicles were involved and all drivers and passengers were injured to an unspecified degree. The injured were conscious and responsive and were taken to the LKH Bregenz. All three vehicles were severely damaged. The L200 was closed to all traffic for about 1.5 hours.

15 men from the Schnepfau fire brigade were in action. The course of the accident and the cause are not yet known.
