Based on Anthony Doerr’s novel, the miniseries All the light we can see reveals itself a little more. Netflix unveiled a new trailer for its adaptation on the occasion of Tudum 2023, an event during which the platform presents its upcoming programs. After Adam through time, Shawn Levy tackles this literary success, and Steven Knightthe creator of Peaky Blinderssigns the screenplay.

As in the book that won the Pulitzer Prize in 2015, it will portray two young heroes who were completely opposed during the Second World War: Marie-Laure, a young blind French woman who took refuge with her father in Saint-Malo, and Werner, a German orphan and radio communications genius. The story spans a whole decade and intersects the destinies of these two characters who “regain faith in humanity and see a glimmer of hope”, as the synopsis announces.

On display, we find in particular Mark Ruffalo, who had previously collaborated with Shawn Levy in Adam through time. He will play Marie-Laure’s father. Regarding the main roles, the young Aria Mia Loberti will play Marie-Laure, and Louis Hofmann (revealed by the series Dark) will be the face of Werner. Hugh Laurie et Lars Eidinger (The Persian Lessons) are also part of the cast.

All the light we can see will be available on November 2 on Netflix.
