The drugstore chain Rossmann announced on Monday, February 13th, that “in the interest of preventive consumer protection” the product “enerBiO potato mushroom thaler” would be recalled. As the manufacturer explains, several packs of the product incorrectly contain soy without having an allergen label. The following batch of the product with the identification EAN 4305615929392 is affected by the recall:
Batch number 220141301, with best before date 31.12.2023.
Other lots of the product are not affected. Rossmann calls for the affected products to be returned to a branch if possible. Customers are offered a full refund of the purchase price.
A food allergy can have serious health consequences. In the case of a soy allergy, the mucous membranes and the gastrointestinal tract can be affected in addition to the skin. It can even lead to cardiovascular problems. The consumption of the product is harmless for people without a soy allergy.
