CDMX.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador asked the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, not to leave the investigation of the attack on journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva to find out what really happened.
During the morning, before the Morenista President, López Obrador said that they will not leave the case without attention.
“Here is the Head of Government and I ask that the investigation of what happened with Ciro Gómez Leyva not be left. I want to be reporting here, it is very important to me, at the time it is reported but we cannot leave it because there are no suspicions, we We do not repress anyone and we want to know what happened and we have already said that since these are other times people help us, inform us, and the truth always ends up being known,” the President urged.
“We want to know what really happened, how the investigations are going, we are not going to leave it unattended. And not only because it is about this matter of a famous journalist who attacked him, we do it in all cases, we have a policy of zero impunity “.
Meanwhile, Sheinbaum reiterated that there are investigation elements related to a motorcycle and cars that participated in the event. He added that there is a location of a vehicle and people, but he did not want to give more details.
“They are working together in the City’s Citizen Security Secretariat, all the images inside the C5 and the one in charge, the City Prosecutor’s Office. A motorcycle and some vehicles have been identified, not just one, vehicles that participated in the event. One of the vehicles is known to have followed him not only one day but in previous days, there is a location of that vehicle and of people,” he said.
“Why hasn’t information been given beyond this and what was reported at the time? Due to the characteristics of the case, due to the establishment, according to what the Prosecutor who participates in the Cabinet in the preparation of the folder and that everything remains, that there are no problems at the time of the arrests, we will continue to report it”.
