Mexico City.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador exhibited the vote of the Ministers that led Norma Piña to the presidency of the Court.
During the morning, the federal President counted the votes for the two final candidates. Norma Piña, who obtained 6 votes and Alfredo Gutiérrez Ortiz Mena, who obtained 5.
López Obrador said that the outgoing president of the Court, Arturo Zaldívar, Loretta Ortiz and Margarita Ríos-Farjat, who sympathize with him, voted for Gutiérrez Ortiz Mena.
“There were two candidates. In the end, attorney (Norma) Piña and attorney (Alfredo) Gutiérrez Ortiz Mena, they were both, so, for Ortiz Mena, the president of the Court, Arturo Zaldívar, voted, Loretta (Ortiz) voted, there are two who sympathize with us, who didn’t listen to me, if it were about that”
“We already have the vote of the president, the vote of Minister Loretta (Ortiz), the vote of Minister Margarita (Ríos-Farjat), who was also proposed by us and I am missing one, the vote of the former president of the Court, (Luis María) Aguilar, plus the candidate’s vote, voted for him, so there are five.”

The President once again criticized the highest court for its decisions, which, he said, do not help the people.
“Let’s see, tell me if you know of a decision of the Court that has helped the people, there is nothing,” he reproached.
