A tragedy in Brazil has a tremendous impact on our country. An Argentine tourist and her little son died after the bus in which they were traveling from the city of Florianópolis (Santa Catarina) to Foz de Iguazú (Paraná) fell off the cliff.

The accident occurred this morning and resulted in a total of 7 fatalities, including the Argentine woman and the 3-year-old boy. In addition, about twenty passengers were injured, reported the Federal Highway Police (PRF).

The accident occurred around 1:50 a.m., when the bus that was traveling fell into a ravine on the side of the road for unknown reasons, the PRF detailed to local media.

Among the deceased, in addition to those from our country, there is a woman and four men, according to police sources. Among the 54 passengers, there were also Paraguayans, French and Germans, according to the fire chief of the Irati municipality of Paraná, Carla Spak.

In total, 22 were injured and were transferred to health centers in the area of ​​the accident, in the central region of Paraná. His nationality and his serious condition are unknown at this time.

Images released by the police show the bus overturned on the side of the BR-277 highway, which made rescue tasks difficult.

It should be noted that yesterday, another bus accident carrying a youth soccer team left four dead, including three teenagers between the ages of 14 and 17, and 29 injured in Minas Gerais (southeast).
