Whether or not you like the formula, Hi-Fi RUSH is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful surprises of this beginning of the year, and when we speak of surprise, it is in every sense of the word since the latter was announced the day before its release during Xbox_Developer_Direct. Behind this success, we find the talented teams of Tango Gameworks who have not lost their way and in particular one of their most famous licenses: The Evil Within.
The sequel to the famous survival horror mentioned in Hi-Fi RUSH?
Since its release, Hi-Fi RUSH has intrigued many players who have spotted various easter eggs and other references to pop culture, but it is a particularly subtle easter egg that interests us today.

Indeed, during the cutscene preceding Track 11: The Needle Drop, we see Chai take the elevator to meet Kale, the CEO of the Vandelay Corporation, incidentally the final boss of the game. When the elevator arrived, you can see a screen broadcast very quickly telling us that we have reached floor 776. Nevertheless, small more characters broadcast at the bottom of the screen allow us to see a flow of information with the weather and the news and here is one of the news messages displayed :
“The sequel to the acclaimed survival horror franchise has been announced. »
Even if it is obviously necessary to take this with tweezers at the present time, it is legitimate to make a link with the famous franchise The Evil Within. It’s the only survival horror license developed by Tango Gameworks, and the studio’s two other major games are Hi-Fi RUSH and Ghostwire: Tokyo, putting aside Hero Dice, a mobile game. As The Evil Within 2 turns six this year, could we see The Evil Within resurfacing with a third installment this year? Case to follow.
