As of last week, Hogwarts Legacy is also available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

And there is good news for everyone who has not yet bought a new console: the port to the old systems has been successful.

How’s it going?

The YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits compares the different versions in a video.

If we take a closer look at the PS4 version, it achieves a roughly stable 30 fps at a resolution of 900p. With an unlimited frame rate, it can be up to 50 fps. The game runs similarly stable on the PS4 Pro, but here the resolution can be increased to 1080p.

More Hogwarts Legacy news:

Graphically, there are no cuts that would be drastic. Of course, the view distance is lower and the textures aren’t quite as high resolution, but those are things to be expected.

If you enter or leave Hogwarts, you also have to live with a loading screen.

On the whole, however, it looks like a successful porting. It seems the developers made good use of the time leading up to the later release on PS4 and Xbox One.

What’s missing now is the Nintendo Switch version. This will be released on July 25, 2023.
