With 60 works by well-known artists DIMENSIONS. Digital Art since 1859 in Leipzig a comprehensive overview of digital art. International shooting stars of the art scene such as Refik Anadol or Lu Yang show current works alongside early pioneers. The unique show is a homage to the diversity and inspirational power of digital art.
Visitors* immerse themselves in monumental installations, wander through stroboscopic fog or can virtually bring da Vinci’s Madonna in the Rocks to life using a tray. The interplay of spectacular industrial architecture from the 19th century and digital art creates a breathtaking atmosphere that captivates visitors.
Digitization is penetrating more and more areas of our lives: from augmented reality in smartphones to chatbots that write our texts, artificial intelligence is omnipresent. The DIMENSIONS exhibition offers food for thought on the effects of digitization and the creative power of human creativity.
The exhibition DIMENSIONS. Digital Art since 1859 runs until July 9th.
