Also on the second day of Christmas we dare to take a look at the current and at the same time penultimate Steam Charts of the year 2022. Compared to the last week however, there were a few surprises. So the Christmas season has messed up a lot and many older triple-A blockbusters have found their way back into the top list.
A look at the Steam sales charts
Unsurprisingly, Valves is located Steam deck still undefeated at the top, a circumstance that will probably not change anytime soon. It will be more exciting on the second place, here is found with Elden ring an old friend again. Earlier this year, the title hit the Steam charts dominated for weeksat times even number 1. And rightly so, From Software’s masterpiece has not only won numerous awards, but also holds up number 1 our list of the best games of 2022.
Also surprisingly, the recently updated Cyberpunk 2077 has also found its way back into the top 10 of the Steam charts. But also that Hardcore tactical shooter Ready or Not surprisingly made it into the leaderboard. The Early Access title from indie developers Void Interactive has just received the biggest update in its young history.
Overall, it seems many gamers want to use the holiday season to catch up on blockbusters they’ve missed over the past few months and years. A look at the confirms this complete top 10:

This is how the Steam sales charts are calculated
Incidentally, the calculation of the current top 10 of the Steam sales charts is not the pure one Number of copies sold of the respective games, but always the turnover generated by the software or hardware sold. So, especially expensive products have an “advantage”. The sales charts listed above refer to the period from 19 to 25 December 2022. The charts presented by us are published weekly in one XML feed on Steam issued.
