This Tuesday, the head of the National Administration of Aqueducts and Sewers (ANDA), Rubén Alemán, made a technical visit to the Río Grande pumping station in the municipality of El Paraíso, in Chalatenango, as part of the actions to make the service more efficient that provides the autonomous.

According to the authorities, the system provides coverage to families who live in the urban area of ​​the municipality of El Paraíso, El Calvario neighborhood, Las Flores, San Luis, El Centro, La Vega, El Roble 1 and 2 neighborhood, Las Brisas .

In this sense, Alemán affirmed that with this system more than 3,500 people are supplied, “The production of this water is located in this place, Río Grande Tilapa, where we clearly see the effects of climate change, where as an institution, as a central government, in coordination with the municipal government, we have carried out adaptation and mitigation measures before a phenomenon that is a reality. in El Salvador and the whole world”said German.

He also mentioned that for months they have been building bordas so that they can retain water and thus the catchments are not left with nothing, in addition, he explained that all these catchments have a water route of approximately two kilometers, until they reach a storage tank, where the water it flows by gravity to the urban area of ​​said municipality.
