Android 13: Samsung promises to update all eligible phones and tablets in the next 4 days

Samsung announced on Wednesday (28) that it intends to complete the rollout of One UI 5, based on Android 13, to all its eligible phones and tablets by the end of the year. This means that the manufacturer set the goal of updating all devices on the list within the next four daysbefore we get to 2023.

In an official publication, the company highlights that One UI 5 marked the “fastest software update release ever”, and in fact, more than 45 models are running Android 13 in countries in Asia and Europe, such that they are usually the first ones with the upgrade.

It is possible to assume that its target will only be valid for selected regions, since there are countries where the adoption of the new operating system is still slow, and the brand says that all users can expect the novelty “in the coming weeks”, limiting the Full software availability for select regions of the world only.

In the coming weeks, more users can look forward to the operating system update as Samsung accelerates the rollout of One UI 5 updates to a wide range of models, including older phones and tablets, with the aim of complete the rollout to all eligible devices by the end of the year.

It should be noted that the Galaxy S21 received its update to Android 13 in Brazil only this Wednesday (28). The initial distribution of the software for this model had started almost two months ago in the United States, therefore, eligible cell phones and tablets for Brazilian users should receive the new version of One UI throughout 2023.

Currently, several basic and previous generation cell phones are already running Android 13 in Europe, such as the Galaxy A13, which joined the list of updated models last Tuesday (27). Other devices with update abroad include the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Galaxy M13 and Galaxy M23.
