Andy Samberg plays unknown role in Across the Spider-Verse

The sequel to perhaps the best Spider-Man movie ever, i.e. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is about to hit theaters. While its predecessor only sniffed at the multiverse concept, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will fully embrace it in the form of hundreds of Spider-Men. Exactly how many of them will play a larger role in the film remains to be seen, but now we also know that Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hotel Transylvania) will play an undisclosed role. The role could possibly be some Spider-Man (or why not a villain?). The news was revealed by the comedian trio The Lonely Island consisting of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer on Instagram. Even Taccone will play a role in the film.
