The President of the Republic was booed copiously during a trip to Alsace. He recognizes a form of “anger” in the country.
Heckled during his trip to the Bas-Rhin, Emmanuel Macron admitted that many French people were “angry” against the pension reform.
“Angry people, I respect them, he announced this afternoon. I want them to re-engage in dialogue. We can still convince people about pensions.
“You have to hear the anger, I’m not deaf to it,” said the head of state during a trip to Sélestat where he was booed several times. “This anger is coming out, I didn’t expect anything else but it won’t stop me from continuing to move,” he added.
