“I would have liked Diego to give me the Cup or at least see Argentina world champion with what he loved the National Team. That photo would have been nice,” Messi said in dialogue with Urbana Play radio.
Messi also acknowledged that the support “from above” of the idol who died two years ago was felt and that the song “Muchachos” was a nice tribute.
“Both he and many people were strong and the song was a ‘boom’ for everyone. The song is very good, I had said that I liked it a lot but it had not gone so viral. After little by little people sang it more, it was felt all over the world because even if they don’t speak Spanish, it’s a contagious rhythm,” he said.
