On her Instagram account, the latter announced, in August 2022, the start of filming for the sequel to the series. “It’s today ! Season 2 of #Annika is starting to be shot ? It will arrive on Alibi in 2023” can we read in the caption of the photo.

Nikola Walker confided in our American colleagues Masterpiece on his character’s investigations. “We’re all looking forward to fighting crime at sea and on land with MHU for a second season, and Annika will have to deal with some very intimate secrets.” did she initially teased. “It’s going to be a bumpy ride!” The producer of the series, Arabella Page Crof, meanwhile, has revealed a lot of information about the sequel… “In this new series, Annika and her brilliant MHU will discover corpses in Edinburgh, Glasgow and as far as the Hebridean island of Jura, in the company of great names in literature such as Robert Louis Stevenson, George Orwell and Walter Scott, who will help solve the cases.
