A book. Fasnazunft celebrates anniversary with dismissal, parade and show program in the village center.

While in the pandemic years the foolish goings-on in the small community could only be celebrated on the back burner and at a distance, the folly in Buch is now picking up speed this coming Sunday. The tenor of the guild association founded on November 11th, 2003 is clear: “Experience Fasnat live on the mountain again,” says the guild master Jurgen Winder to the point. It starts at 10:30 a.m. in the parish hall. “A super glue on the run” is the title of the procedure for dismissal, where the local municipal council is allowed to demonstrate cohesion in a creative way. The music club Buch, the shawm procession and the ladies’ guard from Lauterach complete the prelude.

Another highlight of the anniversary celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the “Buchar Lumpa” is the parade from 1.30 p.m. “Around 30 groups from all over the country ensure a loud and colorful picture,” says Isabella Muxel, Tobias Leitner, Michel Stocklasa, Florian Steuer and Bernd Winder from the “Lumpenrat”. For the first time, the Kriasistinker Thüringen, the Schalmeien Kehlegg, the Hinterberger Youngstars guild and the Klostertalerrutschifenggen Guggamusik will be performing at the parade.

This is traditionally followed by the show program in the community hall and the hustle and bustle on the village square and in the bar (below the community hall). “Community cohesion is a basic prerequisite for us to be able to hold a major event as a small association,” says guild master Winder after the corona-related abstinence, impressed by the promised support for the all-day anniversary act.

More than 50 people are committed to the tradition of the Bucher Fasnat with a multifaceted program with free entry. In terms of mobility, the organizer also refers to the Unterland country bus (line 158) and the specially set up shuttle bus that runs “around the village” from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Parking (due to the festive season in the village) is available along the Landesstraße, while with the procession (12.30 p.m.) there is a one-way rule on the Dorfstraße.
