In good spirits and wanting to be surrounded by her loved ones, Antolina Rodríguez celebrated 104 years yesterday, an age that places her among the longest-lived residents of the City. “She loves to go out and talk, she also fortunately remains very lucid,” said Julia, one of her daughters.
Antolina was born in Salta, in the bosom of a family with a good economic background. According to her, her father had a general store.
In adolescence, after having lost his mother early, he settled permanently in La Plata.
In our city, she met Mario, whom she married and started her own family. From the union her daughters Julia and Alicia were born, who in turn gave her 3 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
When taking stock of the (many) years she lived, Antolina recognized that she was a happy woman, who was able to dedicate herself completely to her loved ones and also develop as a person of faith. “She never had to work, she dedicated herself to being a housewife, she was a strict mother, but affectionate and very happy in her marriage,” her daughter contributed.
