Un IDC report indicates that Apple had a 40% ‘drop’ in sales of Mac computers during the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year.

It should be remembered that, during this period, Apple launched new models of the MacBook Pro and Mac mini, both with the M2 processor. It is believed that the end of the Covid-19 pandemic, which witnessed a considerable growth in computer sales, is the main reason for this drop, which naturally affected other computer brands.

O IDC report indicates that, between January and March 2023, 4.1 million units of Apple Mac computers were sold.

The ‘Company of the Apple’ did not manage to go beyond the fourth place in the ‘ranking’ of the best selling brands of computers, with Lenovo being in first place with 12.7 million computers sold – with a decline of 30% compared to the same last year period.
