The Watch Ultra is Apple’s premium smartwatch – and received its successor at today’s keynote. With the Watch Ultra 2, the company wants to set new standards, like on the Wonderlust
said event was declared.
Many of the rumors and speculations of the past few weeks have been confirmed – we will show you in the following overview what technical data the Watch Ultra 2 will have.
Apple Watch Ultra 2: Bigger, lighter, faster
In contrast to previous speculation, the Watch Ultra 2 will not be larger, but will remain at the same 49 millimeter screen diagonal. However, Apple was able to make an improvement to the display itself, so that a maximum brightness of up to 3,000 nits is promised.
Like the newly presented Series 9, the Watch Ultra 2 also relies on the S9 chip, which, with a 60 percent higher number of transistors, should be able to work twice as fast with Siri, among other things.
The new features also include a new gesture control from Apple Double Tap
calls. This can be used to answer calls, turn timers on and off or scroll through widgets. The software is based on WatchOS 10, which was already presented at WWDC 2023. That is the highlight Modular Ultra Watch Face

The battery performance is said to be stronger than ever before – specifically, Apple promises up to 36 hours of battery life, which can be doubled in energy saving mode.
Apple Watch Ultra 2: price and release
In contrast to its predecessor, the Watch Ultra 2 will cost a three-digit amount. More precisely: 799 dollars – euro prices are not yet known at the time the article is published. Pre-orders for the Watch Ultra 2 will be released on September 22nd.
