A family was robbed of their truck by armed men in the municipality of Los Ramones, in Nuevo León.
Unofficial versions indicate that the victims had arrived in the country from the United States to visit their relatives.
The assault was caught on video by a security camera.
An official source close to the case reported that the robbery was committed on the night of Tuesday, January 3, in the community of Los Angeles.
The footage shows a white 2019 GMC pickup truck with Minnesota state license plates parked in front of a concession stand.
Then, a vehicle is paired with the family’s and an armed man gets out who makes a detonation to threaten the victims.
In seconds, the criminal strips the victims of their cell phones, seizes the truck and escapes in an unknown direction.
The informant revealed that the stolen truck was located the next day by ministerial agents in a section of the Cerralvo – Doctor González highway.
He added that the unit was abandoned, for which reason the police ordered its transfer to the municipality of Cerralvo.
For these facts, the Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation after receiving the report of the robbery with violence.
