Arrested Development is and remains one of the funniest TV shows ever, but that didn’t change the fact that the show was actually canceled in 2006 after the first three seasons aired on Fox. Netflix stepped forward in 2012 and renewed the series for an additional season, which arrived in 2013, before receiving a fifth and final season that was released in 2018 and 2019 – becoming one of Netflix’s first original productions. But now it looks like the series is actually leaving the streaming service entirely next month.

As Variety reports, the series will be removed from Netflix on March 14, 2023, assuming the series’ license agreement is not renewed before that date. In doing so, Arrested Development becomes one of the first Netflix Original productions to leave the service.

However, you will be able to continue watching Arrested Development in the future as the first three seasons are available on other services. Netflix never bought exclusive rights when they chose to revive the series in 2012.
