Gabriel Martinelli and Arsenal FC can probably continue to build on each other in the future. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, a long-term contract extension for the 21-year-old with the Gunners is nearing the home stretch. Nothing has been signed yet and there is still no complete agreement, but they are getting closer.

In the current Premier League season, the Brazilian has started all 14 games and been directly involved in seven goals (five goals, two assists). Martinelli had already announced in early November that he wanted to stay in London: “I’m very happy at Arsenal. I’ve said it many times. This is my club. I love being here. I love the city, the club, everything about Arsenal. I want to stay, I just need a pen.”
