The thriller series UTOPIA won Best Drama Series at the 2014 Emmy Awards. The British horror thriller with borrowings from Kubrick and Tarantino achieved cult status. Five fans of the dystopian graphic novel Utopia get their hands on a second volume that supposedly never existed – and become the target of the secret organization The Network. “Utopia” is available from May 12th in the ARTE online series offer arte.tv to find.
Becky, Ian, Wilson, Grant and Bejan are members of an online comic forum. When a treasure falls into one of their hands – the manuscript of the second volume of the legendary graphic novel Utopia – the five arrange to meet up. What they don’t know: The secret organization The Network is looking for this very manuscript. Department of Health official Michael Dugdale must obey orders from his superiors, who have in their hands a secret about his private life…
The award-winning British series, which impresses with a mixture of sophisticated intrigues and black humor, clever camera angles and a strong visual implementation, was to be adapted by David Fincher for the US market.
The series can be seen in the ARTE media library from May 12, 2023 to October 31, 2024. For reasons of youth protection, however, it is only available to a limited extent during the day. Accordingly, and after confirmation of age, she gets up 24 hours a day arte.tv available.
