Artificial Intelligence comes to Burger King to save costs and avoid waste

The Burger King fast food chain implemented a system based on artificial intelligence in its restaurant chain to improve logistics operations, which will make it more agile, help save costs and avoid waste.

It is a system based on Automatic Learning, called Sentinella, which improves the logistics chain because it makes it more agile and efficient.

In this way, Artificial Intelligence allows optimizing operations in a personalized way for each store, which brings a reduction in costs and food waste.

The system developed in partnership with the company TopCode evaluates the sales behavior of the stores and possible seasonal events such as holidays and months of greater flow, indicates DPL News.

One of the advantages of the Sentinella system is that it crosses data from the order base made by consumers through inventory control, with the purpose of understanding which supplies are most used in a certain store.

In this way, when replenishing inventory, the manager consults the system that will offer more assertive suggestions, all without the need to consult several spreadsheets.

For this reason, the tool supports managers when ordering inputs, since it suggests the right quantity to replenish their inventories.

This system began to be implemented in 2021, and to date it has received more than 30,000 orders.
