A few days after the concern of several experts about the rise of China against the United States on the issue of the Artificial intelligence, the White House reacted. The Joe Biden Administration announced an investment of 140 million dollars for research in new technology.
For many, the number is not huge, but it is still an important step by the US government.
The White House also seeks to form seven new national research institutes focused on Artificial Intelligence.
During the Milken Institute Global Conference, experts such as Alexander Wang and Elad Gil proposed that work with AI in the United States not be restricted, since China would feel more free to develop technology.
“The United States is in a relatively precarious position, and we have to make sure that we move faster in technology,” Wang said. “I believe that Artificial Intelligence is a technology that has the ability to change the balance of diplomatic power.”

The White House announced the investment of 140 million dollars for the National Science Foundation, in his approach to AI. The goal is an Artificial Intelligence “transformative, that is reliable, ethical and of service to the public”.
“AI is one of the most powerful technologies of our time, but to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks,” the administration noted in a statement.

“President Biden has made it clear that when it comes to AI we must put people and communities at the center, supporting responsible innovation that serves the public good, while protecting our society, security and economy,” he added.
