In a recent interview with Esquire the star opens up about his relationship with ex-wife Demi Moore.
Kutcher and Moore were first linked in 2003, and later married in 2005.
After six years as husband and wife, the relationship ended in November 2011.
– A lot to deal with
In the interview, Kutcher reflects on his six-year marriage to Moore and becoming a stepfather in his mid-20s to her three children.
– I was 26 years old and had responsibility for an eight-year-old, a ten-year-old and a twelve-year-old, he says of the role as stepfather to Moore’s three daughters, Rumer (34), Scout (31) and Tallulah (28), whom she has with her ex-husband Bruce Willis (67).
Furthermore, the actor says that he still has contact with the daughters of his ex-wife.
– They were fantastic then, and they are fantastic now. But all together was definitely a lot to deal with, he shares.

– Failed in marriage
Kutcher shares candidly about going through his divorce with his ex-wife.
– Nothing makes you feel like a failure more than a divorce. It feels like a huge failure. You failed in marriage, he shares.
Furthermore, the actor says that he has tried to accept what he did wrong in the marriage, and move on with his life.
Kutcher was accused of having an affair with stunt performer Sara Leal.
In the interview, Kutcher confirms that he was unfaithful to Moore, and that it created controversy in the reputation he had built up in the industry.
He compares the experience to an incident from his teenage years, where he broke into his own high school. This contributed to Kutcher being arrested and charged with burglary. The actor says that he felt that everyone in town was talking about him at the time.
– To feel it again when I was 32, ugh. It’s humiliating and embarrassing.
Furthermore, Kutcher says that he does not look back on the separation with fond memories, but that it was important for him to be confronted with the mistakes he made.
– You own the shit you did wrong, and you move on, he says.
Retreated from the limelight
After the turbulent period following the divorce, Kutcher decided to step back from the limelight.
In 2013, Kutcher married actress Mila Kunis (39).
The couple met during the filming of the TV series “That 70s Show”, which ran from 1998 to 2006.
Today, the couple have two children together, Wyatt (8) and Dimitri (6).

In the interview, Kutcher admits that he was “pretty pissed off” when Moore published his autobiography “Inside Out” in 2019.
– I had finally reached a place where the press had given up contacting me and Mila, explains the actor and continues:
– The next day there are paparazzi at my children’s school.
Kutcher clarifies that he has no ill feelings towards Moore, but that the attention from the biography brought unwanted media attention back into his life.
