There has been a landslide across Kvistadvegen in Inderøy in Trøndelag on the night of Monday. The landslide is around 10 meters wide.
– We have had a landslide mixed with some water, says task leader Per Henrik Bykvist to the press at the scene.
Between 40 and 50 people have been evacuated from their homes as a result of the landslide, which occurred at a housing estate. These will be sent to an evacuation center for the night.
– We have evacuated what we see as necessary so far, and we are constantly evaluating whether we should evacuate more, continue the effort sites.
No one should be injured in the avalanche.
He adds that the rescue helicopter Sar Queen has been in the area to check the conditions.
The slide, which the police initially thought was 50 meters wide, is said to have occurred near a housing estate. A geologist has been dispatched to the site to assess any danger to residents.
The police state that county road 723 is also closed as a result of a landslide earlier in the evening.
Both the fire brigade and the police are on the scene. A geologist will examine the site at dawn on Monday morning.
