While we were talking about the PC configurations required to play Atomic Heart a little earlier today, it is now the expected performance on Xbox Series S that is revealed.

Good news for Xbox Series S gamers

The Mindifish studio had previously given details regarding the performance on Xbox Series X and PS5, and it is now via an interview conducted by

Wccftech
that we have details on the Xbox Series S version.

The good news is that Atomic Heart will run at 60 FPS on Microsoft’s small console. For a first-person game, it goes without saying that it’s a real plus to take advantage of the 60 FPS, while Robert Bagratuni, Game Director of the game, also confirms that the resolution will be 1080p

As a reminder, the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions will run in 4K at 60 FPS in dungeons and in dynamic 4K in the open world.

No ray tracing on Xbox Series X|S and PS5

In addition to details regarding performance on Xbox Series S, the studio has also clarified the issue of ray tracing on consoles. If PC players will be able to take advantage of various ray tracing options, unfortunately the same will not be the case for Xbox Series X | S and PS5 players.

On this subject, Robert Bagratuni mentions in particular:

Consoles will not support ray tracing at this time, but we are working to provide our players with the best and most optimized visual experience possible.

It will therefore not be necessary to rely on ray tracing when the console versions are launched and the best possible visual experience will remain on PC. However, we hope that the studio can think about a future update for the latest consoles.

Atomic Heart will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC as well as Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will integrate Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass directly upon release and is highly anticipated by gamers.
