Recently formalized for February 21, 2023 on PC and consoles, Atomic Heart will be entitled to its share of traditional DLCs and additional content.

The studio shuns multiplayer

Indeed, while there is still about a month and a half before the publication of their baby, the managers of the Mundfish studio have lent themselves to the game of questions / answers. In order to accentuate the communication around the game, the developers have thus wanted to come back to the evolution of the creation process, the various problems encountered, the sources of inspiration or even the DLCs to come after the marketing of the title.

We thus learn that the entire experience of Atomic Heart will remain solo, and centered on the story and the experience offered to players. No multiplayer extension will therefore see the light of day, no offense to those who could wait for such an addition. As for the DLCs, they are intended to “significantly expand the adventure with new territories, quests, puzzles, enemies and characters”. The studio therefore plans to expand the game area with the possibility of learning even more about the universe of this world.

As a reminder, Atomic Heart will place its plot in the middle of the USSR, in an alternate reality around 1955. Russia has embarked on the production of robots here to deal with enemy attacks, but unfortunately a system failure will push all these pretty little machines to rebel against their creators. You will then have to find a way to restore order in this world by using the different weapons and possibilities that the game will offer you.

Atomic Heart is therefore scheduled for February 21 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
