“Atypical acts” are not related to workers: management answers the Metro Union | Subway
The General Directorate of the Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro answered the union later that he make it known that he disagrees with the investigation of the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office and that the worker base be held responsible for the “atypical acts” within the facilities.
Through a statement, the management pointed out the theft of the cable, by outsiders, as one of the causes that endanger system operation and an economic loss and defended the complaints he has made before the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office.
However, he ruled out that, behind these “atypical acts” the workers of the union meet and recognized their work, dedication and vocation for the benefit of the millions of users of the Metro.
“(The) atypical acts that have no relationship with the workers and that harm the operation of the Metro and threaten the user safety”, affirmed the direction of the STC.
He also called for the continuity of the security forces such as the National Guardwhich deployed 6 thousand 60 elements, since last January 12; the capital police and the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office.
“We request the FGJ-CDMX, the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and to the National Guard so that they continue with their work of protection and care, as well as investigation to find those responsible of these acts and other atypical acts”, he pointed out.
Management will meet with the Advisory Council
The General Directorate of the Metro also informed that it will meet with the consultive advice the next tuesday january 31 to monitor and evaluate the different actions carried out with the worker brigades at the STC facilities.
According to the direction ofl meterthe Metro Advisory Council is made up of the IPN, UNAM, UAM, UACMthe College of Civil Engineers of Mexico, among others.
The management said that, currently, various preventive tasks are carried out to guarantee the safety of users; for this it was agreed together with the union carry out various actions together.
“Deployment of night supervision brigades that have already been working since Thursday, January 26, made up of technicians specialized in different areas of work with clear and specific responsibilities that carry out a review of the trains before their circulation ”, reads the statement.
The Metro management also explained that these works also are done on the roadsExplain track apparatuselectronic systemselectrical and electromechanical so that they are in good condition during the daily operation of the Metro.
