In Avatar 3, the Na’vi will not all be as nice as in the first two films of the franchise. James Cameron notably teased the introduction of a new tribe: the “Ash People”, that is to say the People of the Ashes.
So far, Avatar released in 2009 and Avatar 2 which is approaching $2 billion in revenue have always shown the Na’vi in a good light. Humans are the evil invaders and the Na’vi are all nice and only want to protect their family and their planet. That’s about to change, however, with Avatar 3. The third film in the hit franchise won’t just have nice Na’vi, though the teenage Spider might turn Na’vi to fit in with the Sullys.
With the huge success of Avatar 2, James Cameron finds it hard to hold back from sharing information about the upcoming films. As The Direct reported, he even teased at 20 Minutes the arrival of Na’vi villains. Let’s take a look at what the director revealed.

In Avatar 3, spectators will discover a new aspect of Pandora and in particular a new tribe: the “Ash People” or People of Ashes. The film will have different cultures from those I have already shown. The fire will be represented by the People of the Ashes “, explained the director.
In addition to these new Na’vi, James Cameron has planned to show the dark side of natives. He stated that: ” I want to show the Na’vi in a different light because so far I’ve only shown their good side. In the early films, there are very negative human examples and very positive Na’vi examples. In Avatar 3, we will do the opposite “.
We should therefore expect to see very wicked and cruel Na’vi in the upcoming film which is currently three times longer than Avatar 2. Humans won’t all be presented in a bad light. We don’t have any more details on Avatar 3 yet, but we can’t wait to see how James Cameron plans to break away from that aspect of evil invaders and kind natives.
