Trips to Puerto Rico from the area are increasing and the cost is the most attractive.
Avelo Airlines, based in Wilmington, Delaware, announced new routes to the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan from November 2023.
These are trips that range from $99 to $49 on an introductory basis. In addition to Isla del Encanto, the company added direct trips to Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida.

Service to San Juan (SJU) begins on November 2 every Wednesday and Saturday, while the service to Sarasota-Bradenton will be Thursday and Sunday. Both routes will be captained by two Boeing Next-Generation 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 149 people.
The company will add more parking at its facilities to make it easier for passengers to get to and board their flights.
