After more than a year of waiting, our friends of Cosmic Group they sent us to the editorial staff, the Italian preview of Babel Centaurusone of the Silver Saint for the line Myth Cloth Classictaken from the anime Saint Seiya – The Zodiac Knights. This line of action figures began way back in 2003 and still today after twenty years it is one of the flagship lines of the Japanese house, evolving from year to year and recreating the characters ever more faithful to their animated counterparts.
The character…
Babel is part of the Silver Saints (Silver Knights), faithful to the Sanctuary of Greece in defense of the Goddess Athena. The constellation he belongs to is that of the Centaur: a mythological creature half man and half horse. Once he became a knight, he was subjugated by the mental powers of Arles making him switch to the dark side, obeying him without ever hesitating whatever mission was entrusted to him. Babel is considered one of the three most powerful silver knights together with Eris and Argor and is held in some respect by both Arles and the captain of the guard, Phaeton. We see Babel appearing for the first time in the tournament palace, where for the first time Saori (Lady Isabel) manifests her cosmos as Goddess Athena. The knight clashes with Hyoga of the Swan, getting the better of the bronze knight, but when all seemed lost, three steel knights appeared out of nowhere allowing the swan knight to recover his strength and get the better of the dangerous enemy. Once on the ground dying, Saori approaches Babel and frees her mind from the evil influence of the High Priest, recognizing the girl as the new Goddess Athena and dying in her arms.
…and some curiosities
L’anime appearance differs slightly from the one in the manga, in fact, the headgear and the armor in the pelvis have received some minor configurations, also full coverage has been added in the legs. The first name Babel derives from the myth of the Tower of Babel, where humanity had united to build a tower to reach the gods. Babel possesses two secret strokes, both related to fire. The first is called Lobi di Fiamma: where the rider launches numerous flaming spheres towards the enemy, jumping into the air so as to have a greater range of action. The second is the Aurora of Flame, an enhanced version of the previous shot, uniting all the spheres in a single shot, thus increasing its power.

Box and Blister
Babel Centaurus packaging consists of a rigid cardboard box with a colorful design and images of the character on the front and sides. Inside the box, there are two transparent plastic blisters that contain the figure of the character and all his accessories.
From the Totem…
The totem is a faithful reproduction of the knight’s armor, combining the aesthetics of the original comic with the sturdiness and functionality of a collectible figure. The assembly does not present particular difficulties (with instructions obviously in hand) and represents in all respects the constellation of the character.
…At the Saint
Once the pieces of armor from the totem were very delicately disassembled, we assembled the various pieces on Babel’s body, but let’s go in order, because the peculiarity of this myth is that there are some differences between manga and anime and Tamashii has included all the parts in the package to make the two versions. The changes are these: the anime version, unlike the manga one, has a portion of the breastplate that goes down to cover the abdomen, the upper part of the diadem, the front part of the belt and the bracelets are different, even the final part of the leggings is assembled differently. Going back to the myth, we didn’t find any particular problems in the assembly, but the general impression is that it is an old project adapted to current standards. The armor is almost entirely made of metal, with a homogeneous coloring, cleverly disguising the plastic armor parts from those made of metal. The belt buckle is inserted from above, as in the myth Ex, but the side parts of the skirt remain practically fixed. Once exposed there is no problem, but while manipulating the figure, very often the problem arises that the buckle and in particular the front part of the bib can jump. The figure is approximately 18 cm tall and features a detailed and articulated design, which allows it to be positioned in different action poses. Finally, the figure also includes a series of accessories such as interchangeable faces and hands, which allow you to further customize the character.

Conclusions
In conclusion the Myth was designed as an older generation and has all the flaws concerning the classics and was not designed like the more current series, i.e. the EX. So, do we promote this silver knight or not? Taking into account that this is a limited release of a minor character, collectors would do well to get him as soon as possible and leave him in the window in a classic pose that looks good on him all the same.
