Finally happy news from the British royal family: Princess Eugenie (32) is pregnant!

This was announced by Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. “Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their second child this summer,” the royal family said. “The family is delighted and August is very much looking forward to becoming a big brother.”

The daughter of Prince Andrew (62) also shared the happy news on her personal Instagram account. There she showed a photo of her little son August (1) hugging her and pressing his face to her stomach. Both are standing in a meadow, laughing in the sunlight.

Eugenie wrote: “We are so excited to announce that our family is expanding in the summer.” The picture was taken by Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank (36).

According to the British news agency PA, the child will be 13th in line to the British throne and will be the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II († 96) to be born since her death last September.

Eugenie gave birth to her son August in 2021 at the age of 30. She is considered the favorite cousin of Prince Bully Harry (38). At the beginning of last year, Eugenie and her husband even visited Harry and Meghan (41) in America.

The pictures from the secret double date had it all. Because: Harry and Meghan had not been seen so detached and carefree for a long time. It was apparently boisterous hours – and so far the only visit from a royal relative for Harry and Meghan in the United States. Eugenie can also be seen several times in the Netflix documentary of the two and also has her say.

Eugenie plays a subordinate role in the official appearances of the Royal Family – as does her sister Beatrice (34). That shouldn’t change under King Charles (74), who wants to slim down the monarchy.

Nevertheless, the princess is present in public: she is the director of the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth and is the patron of several foundations. Among other things, she is committed to fighting slavery and plastic waste, as well as helping teenagers with cancer.
