The new chapter of the franchise with the granite duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will take place. Sony Pictures has officially confirmed that Bad Boys 4 is in the works and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilal Fallah, returning from the success of Bad Boys for Life, they will go back behind the camera. Obviously also confirmed the return of the two actors who were enthusiastic about it with a video on social media.

At the moment a release date has not yet been confirmed, but Bad Boys 4 will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Westbrook Productions. After the unfortunate incident with Chris Rock at last year’s Oscar ceremony, there was a rumor that Will Smith would be written out of the franchise, but in the end that was not the case. Jerry Bruckheimer had been the first to defend him by bidding “I mean, Will made a big mistake and regretted it. He’s definitely not like that, he’s a phenomenal actor and there’s always forgiveness in the world and I hope the audience can forgive him too”.

In Bad Boys for Life, released in theaters in February 2020, the “bad boys” Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are reunited after 25 years with the same chemistry as always to come full circle.
