As part of controls on Good Friday (April 7, 2023) and Holy Saturday (April 8), the traffic police in Bamberg (VPI) complained about a total of six vehicles and partially pulled them out of circulation. The VPI announced this on Sunday evening.

At the cars were among other things Brakes, exhaust systems and lights without permits or registrations installed. With two vehicles that was fuel cut-off manipulated so that it too loud popping noises came out of the exhaust system.

Three of the cars were seized until the defects were assessed by a motor vehicle expert. Here, the costs for towing and expert opinions are added to the fine notice.

The others were forbidden to continue driving until the defects were remedied, according to the traffic police.

A 21-year-old automotive mechatronics technician is expected to face a criminal complaint because he had attached license plates to his that were issued for another car.
