After an intense search that ended with a chase to the shots through Villa Elvira, the police arrested yesterday Valentin Julián Salvatierra, aka “El Gordo”, the youngest of the Salvatierra brothers, who afflicted the region with their thefts under the entradera modality. The oldest, nahuel nicholasis the presumed leader of the gang and had been arrested two weeks earlier, after detailed intelligence work by the local DDI.

Both brothers were wanted by Justice for different reasons. The minor, 22-year-old Valentin, was serving a sentence for qualified robbery and had failed to comply with the temporary releases, which led to his search beginning. The staff of the 9th Police Station found his location, at the corner of 1st and 73rd streets, and identified him aboard a Volkswagen Nivus car. Realizing that he was being followed, the criminal tried to escape, starting a chase through the streets of Villa Elvira until he was finally captured.

At the time of the arrest, the minor of the Salvatierras was carrying a false document. In addition, his car had adulterated numbers and apocryphal documentation, for which reason added two new crimes to his record: evasion and document falsification. Both are added to another complaint that was verified after the arrest: the young man has an open file for the crime of aggravated minor injuries and theft. It is about a fact in which he is accused of keeping her girlfriend captive for two days, in which he would have beaten her.

His brother, Nahuel Nicolas Salvatierrawas andThe alleged leader of the gang and was on the run from March 18, 2020 by the blow to the French Bank of La Platain which a group of criminals stole a million pesos. For this reason, he had a current arrest warrant from UFI No. 7 of La Plata, for the crimes of doubly aggravated robbery and conspiracy. After meticulous intelligence work, he was arrested two weeks ago.

The arrest was carried out by the local DDI, which was carrying out intelligence tasks on an address on Calle 123, between 81 and 82, in Berisso. There, the Buenos Aires woman spotted the assailant in a gray Nissan Kicks truck, with the patent being adulterated, with another accomplice on board. Realizing that they had been discovered, accelerated and fired at the troops, who responded with their weapons while asking for support by radio. Despite the shooting, no injuries were reported.

During their escape, the criminals discarded an iPhone cell phone. The chase ended when the van they were escaping in blew out a tire. In the vehicle, a .22 caliber rifle with charger, 275 grams of cocaine distributed in two nylon bags, 400 dollars, 400,000 pesos, a wig and two cell phones were seized.

Nahuel Salvatierra was not only wanted for bank robbery. He had a valid arrest warrant from UFI No. 7 of La Plata, for the crimes of doubly aggravated robbery and conspiracy since August 20, 2020.
