Former US President Barack Obama is coming to Germany. On May 3rd he wants to take part in a discussion event in Berlin. It is not the first visit of the 44th US President. July 2008: Obama’s speech at the Victory Column
In July 2008, more than 200,000 people streamed to the Victory Column in Berlin to hear the then US Senator’s speech Barack Obama to pursue. Obama is the Democratic presidential candidate in the 2008 US election campaign and a generation of political hope.
The mega event was part of a trip Obama undertook to mark his candidacy. A speech before Brandenburg Gate Angela Merkel is said not to have allowed him. After all, he wasn’t president yet.
April 2009: Obama at the NATO summit in Baden-Baden
Obamanow officially the 44th President of the United States, will fly in April 2009 for the NATO summit in Baden-Baden to Germany.
