Battlefield 2042 will receive the long-awaited 3.2 update next week, which will divide specialists into broad groups according to their tasks in battle. Yes, the old class system is coming to Battlefield 2042 and redefining how these task forces are equipped. This also makes it easier for players to immediately recognize which tasks a particular specialist is suitable for.

The classification system specializes the specialists

There are now four classes in total, into which the existing specialists have been divided. These are Assault, Engineer, Support, and Recon. Each class has special passive abilities, a fixed class-specific gadget, and other usable gadgets. So you can no longer choose every specialist with every gadget and are now a bit more limited. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, because it gives the various specialists better opportunities to fulfill their role in combat. However, you still have a free choice of weapons.
